Israel . . . the Hated One

June 8th, 2010

Yet again, Israel is in the eye of the storm.  As we have seen on many news reports, governments and their citizens worldwide, are condemning the Gaza blockade incident last week as “inhuman” and a planned “massacre.”  I’m not sure how 15 soldiers entering a ship in which they were grossly outnumbered, with their primary weapons being paint ball guns, can be concluded a planned massacre.  Right, wrong or in between, it simply gave the world another reason to “hate” Israel.

It is very troubling to me that most of the mainstream media edited the video of the ship boarding, before we saw the soldiers being brutally attacked before their feet even hit the deck.  That is the first time I have ever seen supposed humanitarian aid workers, armed with steel clubs and knives.  I was also amazed to see soldiers being thrown from one deck to another with love and kindness!  No wonder they defaulted to their real weapons . . . which were also used against them, by these peaceful people.

Did these ships have another mission?  It appears that it was not to simply distribute humanitarian supplies.  If that were the case, they would have accepted offers from both Israel and Egypt, to port at their docks, and the goods would have been delivered to the Gaza people via land.  After all, Israel delivers about 18 tons of aid products to Gaza each week.  They simply don’t want these ships coming in with arms that Hamas will use on them the next day.  Neither does Egypt.  It appears, at least in my opinion, that this was a coordinated attempt by the IHH and Free Gaza organizations, to draw Israel into a conflict.  Israel took the bait and once again is paying the price of world opinion.

Why is it that anytime Israel is involved in any kind of incident, the world goes ballistic in its hatred for this small nation?  Even here at home, Times Square was full of protesters with their own “death to Israel” signs.  Also, why is it that Israel can be hit with missiles on a consistent basis an no one cries out?  Over 10,000 of them over the past few years.  Do you see world outcries about that?  But let Israel push back and God forbid be the aggressor, and all hell breaks loose.  Heck, who needs Ahmadinejad anymore?  The citizenry of the world is doing a pretty good job of spewing hate towards the Jewish nation daily.  Why is that?

Let me give you a couple of recent examples of the difference in world reaction.  In November 2009, Army Maj. Nidal Hasan simply walked into a couple of buildings at Ft. Hood military base and killed 13 while wounding 31 others.  Did you see an outcry from around the world on the news networks?  I didn’t.  In March of this year, a North Korean ship sank a South Korean vessel killing 47 sailors.  Did you see an outcry from around the world?  I didn’t.  Yet let Israeli soldiers defend themselves by killing 9, after being attacked before they could get their feet on the deck, and the whole world is in dismay at such an act of violence and massacre.  Amazing!

Well, I have an theory about all this.  I think it could be a God thing… take thought.  Every time we see Israel being attacked and world opinion becoming even more obsessed with her destruction, are we seeing the end times unveiling itself before our very eyes?  Look at Turkey’s change in position.  I find it interesting because in the great end times war of Gog and Magog described in Ezekiel 38 and 39, modern day Turkey is one of the countries named to attack Israel in that stated coalition.  That was hard to reconcile until recently.  However, Turkey in the past few years, has gone from a supporter of Israel to a determined enemy.  The leaders of this war will be Russia, Iran and Turkey (modern day names).  If you read the scriptural results of this encounter, you’ll find that God helps Israel overcome all the odds.  Israel survives again with only one major conflict remaining… Armageddon!

So in conclusion, when I say this could be a God thing, here is what I mean.  First, I don’t pretend to know the mind of God.  This is just me, a little human being in the scheme of things, proposing a thought.  If God needs to get the attention of the mass of humanity to take notice of what is coming, what better way to do it than to keep Israel in the headlines of controversy.?  Who would be paying attention or protesting, if it had been Andorra who had been in a conflict this week?  No one.  Andorra is not the focus of Biblical end time prophecy but, Israel is its center piece.  Nobody hates Andorra that I know of…but almost everyone hates Israel.  So would it make sense for God to keep His chosen people in the forefront of so much world attention just to get….our attention?  I don’t know…I’m just asking.

On Thursday of this past week, the Rabbinical Council of Judah & Samaria, issued a statement in which it said, “This seems like the beginning of the Gog/Magog process.”  I don’t know if it is or not but….if it’s not, it sure feels like it’s getting close.

Until Next Time….Keep Watch and America Bless God!
